play based learning

My thoughts about play based learning is very creative, it helps students express their imagination and etc. I think they should keep the setup the same because they are examining how to have fun and enjoy things without electronics.  One thing I would change is more toys and materials as kids can be very picky which can cause the students to become bored, then they will accelerate to the next stage which will be students being whiney and which will start irritating the teachers and that will mean no one will have a good day at school. I think the purpose have this is to get all the negativity out of their system so they can have a positive attitude when learning and attending glen taylor school. Next week could be a more improved session  (I think) if we could do all the things I have listed above because we will be seeing more students having fun and participating in this block. This because everyone likes something new and they will do anything to avoid school work. So therefore they should make this a forever lasting subject so kids will attend school more. This teaches kids not also how to have fun without electronics, but to learn logical things such as; constructions without instructions, thinking by playing games like Jenga and connect 4.

Soccer tournament

Soccer Tournament,(Term 2 Week 3)

On Thursday, 16th of may we Competed in a tournament held in Point England reserve. We faced roughly around 6 teams. With a little glance around the oval I was sure that we weren't able to win but i still gave it my best. I took the position of goalie were I had to guard the goal with all my life. Unfortunately like most sports they were so good when playing Soccer. At the end of the day we came 6th out of 8 teams so... Yeah! It was a great experience and I can't wait for the next tournament to commence! 

Today we learnt 5 techniques to help us become better writers or ro just help us in general when writing a narrative. The 5 techniques miss Tupou showed are; Question, Dialogue, Sound effects, A vivid description, interesting information. I think this helped most people (Including myself) So I recommend everyone to use these 5 amazing techniques in your writing. 

The Dawn Raid was a situation that dated back in 1970- early 1980s.The reason behind the name was because due to pacific islanders not having a passport signed by the new zealander government. By law white police where hunting down the people who were chosen to work in NZ. The reason they were so brutal when they were breaking into their house violently was because back then there was a lot of racism so for obvious reasons they were white.The reason polynesian citizens entered NZ land was because they were determined to achieve money for their family back in their homeland. When they heard that they were being hunted like strays they were jumping to friends houses when the police intruded the places they stay at.

ANZAC presentation

Why did I start this presentation?: Miss Wrack asked us to make an inquiry as a plan for the next step in our work.after completing the plan we made a presentation about the questions we wanted to know about the ANZACs and then write down the information we learned about the topic. Getting the information was a bit hard because there were websites which had different concerns about the War at Gallipoli and what actually happened
